What We Do

Think Globally, Act Locally.  We are connected in conservation as a global community. Addressing gaps through the work of change is needed at all scales from local working communities to remote wildlands to coastal regions and growing urban centers.

The systems and structures of the past are often not well-suited to address mega-issues like climate change, loss of biodiversity, wildfires, and flooding; conflicting values between energy, food production, and conservation; well-worn disparities between who is included or excluded; pandemics and disease; and mounting socio-economic divides.

The rapid pace of change and uncertainties ahead create conflict, divisions, tension, and disruptions for the very people that signed up to make a difference.

Eco-Alliances for Change, LLC is an inclusive team strongly influenced by the natural world to sustain a diversity of ecosystems and human communities for the future. Our mission is to create conservation impact by increasing the capacity and resilience of people and their organizations in the work of ecological and social change.

Our services include:

  • Conservation leadership development that increases the adaptive capacity of conservation professionals, government agencies, private landowners, non-governmental organizations, Tribal Nations, corporate sectors, and philanthropy to address daunting ecological-social challenges through increasing self and system resilience.
  • Agency and organizational support to develop collective aspirations for stronger program/policy delivery, capacity, and on-the-ground implementation by addressing barriers to execution – with specific emphasis on creating an adaptive, flexible, and relationship-oriented culture.
  • Technical and other capacity-building expertise to advance complex wildlife and natural resource conservation initiatives and projects that result in funding, impact and outcomes.
  • Strategic partnership and collaboration expertise to recruit, support, and engage new voices and perspectives in conservation initiatives and efforts for larger impact.
  • Mini-retreats and place-based workshops that invest in presence, team-building, and the work of addressing environmental change.
